Why Wonder Matters

Today, we too often associate wonder with childhood naivety. But back in the day, wonder was deeply respected and seen as the starting point of all wisdom. Plato said, "Philosophy begins with wonder."

Aristotle also was drawn to wonder, but he used it as a cue that there was a question with an answer to be found. For Aristotle, the search began with wonder but ended with certainty.
